Laura Houssain Coaching Terms and Agreement

I’m very excited to be working with you. Please read the following document thoroughly before we get started. If you have any question, contact me at [email protected]

The Coaching Relationship

The coaching relationship is one through which we partner together to ensure that you reach your goal. Together, we will create a new present and a new future for you. We will decide on the steps to take to reach your goals. I will hold you accountable, listen, communicate, and I will adapt my method and our plan according to your feedback. In other words, we will work as a team where I guide you, support you, push you, listen and communicate with you, and you take action, express and support yourself.

As Your Coach:

As your coach, I will bring my full attention, understanding, experience, knowledge, faith in you, and commitment to your success. I will challenge you, push you, encourage you, guide you, share new perspectives, give you assignments for you to do. I will use my intuition, and when I sense that something needs to be addressed, I will share it with you. Sometimes, the hardly noticeable change in one’s voice can lead to a major shift. That’s why I will devote myself entirely to you during our sessions. I will request that we collaboratively set specific actions to be completed for the next session, and I will ask you to address anything that seems incomplete. I will also track your progress and check whether we’re moving forward on target.

Everything that we discuss during our sessions will remain strictly confidential to the fullest extent of the law and as long as your safety or the safety of another doesn’t seem compromised. I’m not a psychotherapist, physician, or counselor. I am not qualified to diagnose or treat severe depression, personality disorders, or any psychological or medical condition. I request that you fully disclose any diagnosis of the kind before our first session and that you provide me with the contact details of the medical person attending to you. I also insist that you contact the appropriate licensed health professional should any issue of the kind arise.

Between Sessions:

During our sessions, I will devote my time, thoughts, skills, and energy to you exclusively. In between sessions, according to your package, you may email me to ask me questions or to bounce ideas off me, or to prepare what you need to cover during our next session.

Your Role:

Your role is to fully, actively, and responsibly take part in your transformation and the pursuit of your goal, to give me honest feedback about your coaching experience, setbacks, and successes so that we can adapt our approach to give you the best results as quickly as possible.

You can make the most of your coaching by:

  • Preparing each session, sending your feedback, asking questions in between sessions;
  • Making your coaching a priority;
  • Valuing our sessions as a crucial investment in yourself;
  • Showing up at each session, following through, and staying open and focused as best you can;
  • Being willing to try new things consistently and to let go of the past.

If I ever say or do anything that upsets you or that doesn’t feel right, please bring it to my attention so that we can resolve it as quickly as possible. My objective is to have a coaching relationship that is fully open, honest, real and trusting in our communication styles. We should both realize that communication via telephone or email entails extra challenges since we cannot see body language, facial expressions, etc. Therefore, we should give each other plenty of latitude, and promptly ask for clarification if there is a miscommunication.

Fees:

My coaching fees are paid before sessions.

My fees will vary according to the coaching package you choose.

As my client, you will receive coaching sessions plus, access to my email. We may decide to spread out the paid sessions beyond the monthly period if it seems the most appropriate option but the number of optional phone calls will remain the same and credit will be lost after a period of six months.

I will send you a monthly receipt, and I can provide an invoice upon request. Please be sure that your budget is sufficient for this investment.

Also, please let me know as soon as possible if your credit card is about to expire or if it changes.

Rescheduling or Cancelling Appointments

If you have booked a scheduled a coaching session or other meeting with me (“Appointment”) and you need to reschedule or cancel, you must contact us at least 48 hours in advance so we may select an alternative mutually-agreeable time for your make-up session. However, for Appointments that you attempt to reschedule or cancel less than 48 hours in advance of the scheduled time, you forfeit the Appointment and you will not have the opportunity to reschedule it or make it up.

Missed Appointments

Should you miss your scheduled appointment without providing at least 48-hour advance notice, you forfeit it. Because I have made time unavailable in the schedule, it affects how many other clients may be served, and for that reason, I do not offer make-up sessions for “no-shows” or missed appointments.  If you do not call or fail to reply within 15 minutes for any reason, I will consider that session as completed and we will not make up for that time. I will take emergencies and illnesses into consideration on a casebycase basis.

Refund Policy

Your satisfaction with my coaching services is important to me. Yet, I have a no refund policy. Unless otherwise provided by law, you acknowledge that I do not offer refunds for any portion of your payment for any of our coaching packages, and no refunds will be provided to you at any time. By using and/or purchasing any of my coaching packages, you understand and agree that all sales are final, and no refunds will be provided.

Session Procedures:

My sessions can be conducted on the phone, but they are best conducted on  Zoom, Skype, or Google Hangouts.

Please call me using my Skype ID or the Zoom link or wait by your phone depending on what you have opted for. If you do not reply to my calls within 15 minutes for your scheduled session time, the session will be lost.

Schedule Changes, Vacation/Business Trips:

We will mutually schedule our sessions together in advance. I require a minimum of 36 hours’ notice to reschedule a call. Please let me know as soon as possible if you won’t be able to make a call.

If there should happen to be a change in your schedule, I will offer a new appointment time whenever possible. If you do not call or fail to reply within 15 minutes for any reason, I will consider that session as completed and we will not make up for that time. I will take emergencies and illnesses into consideration on a casebycase basis.

If I need to reschedule, I will give you at least 24 hours notice as well, barring an emergency or illness.
